Public Sites
By default, your site is private. If you'd like, you can open up the certain pages or the Dossier to the public. Only activities with "Everyone" visibility will ever be shared, regardless of this setting.
Ask support to toggle this option for you.
Banking
Money can be a useful dynamic in your simulation. Simulations work best when students get to step into someone else's shoes and make decisions from their perspective, and that perspective is influenced by capabilities and constraints: introducing money to the game can offer both.
Getting started with banking
Banking can be enabled for your simulation at any time; just ask support. You'll need to answer a few questions:
Individuals or Teams?
You can give a bank account to each individual or to each team, depending on what'd be more realistic within your simulation.
Currency
What currency would you like to use? The default currency is the dollar.
Conversion rate for grades
You can optionally award in-game money for each point that a student earns as a grade. If you'd like to do this, you'll need to decide how many dollars each grade point is worth.
Team bank accounts earn income based on the total grade points earned by the whole team.
Checking balances
Individuals can check their balance and transaction history on their Profile pages.
Teams can check their balance and their transaction history on their Dossier pages.
When balances include income from graded activity submissions, the cumulative income from all graded submissions will appear as a single line item on the balance sheet.
Earning money
Individuals or teams can earn money in two ways. In either case, you can include a memo along with the transaction.
-
You can add money to an account directly on the bank balance page by clicking New Transaction.
-
You can add money to an account as the result of an action when you process it in the Action Required section of the Overview page.
Losing Money
Individuals or teams can lose money in three ways.
-
Students can spend their own money by submitting Activities that cost money per submission. You set the cost of an activity on the Activity Settings page. Students cannot submit an activity that their character or team cannot afford.
-
You can remove money from an account directly on the bank balance page by clicking New Transaction. Enter a negative number in the transaction amount field.

Beta: Like and Dislike
We're testing a feature that allows you to add social media style "like" and "dislike" buttons to posts, along with some functionality that would tie those like and dislike counts to other actions within a simulation. If you're interested in using this, contact support.
